Our story

We started this because the squishies kept breaking

A small shop with one rule: if it doesn't survive a week of real play, we don't sell it.

The Soft Squishies began at a kitchen table with a pile of supermarket squishies that had split, hardened or lost their shape inside a fortnight. The kids were gutted. The bin was full. We figured there had to be a better version.

So we went looking for the slow-rise kind — the ones with a fabric-soft outer and a core that pushes back slowly instead of pinging straight out. Then we got fussy about the details: rounded edges, no hard plastic, nothing that snaps off in a three-year-old’s grip.

Today we’re still small. We test every batch by hand, we wrap every order ourselves, and we still answer the emails. That’s the whole business model, really: make something good enough that you’d give it to your own kid.

What we care about

Slow-rise, not fast-foam

The cheap ones tear in a week. Ours rise slowly, stretch far, and spring back into shape hundreds of squeezes later.

Fussy about softness

Every batch gets squeezed before it ships. If a squishy doesn't feel right in our hands, it doesn't go in a box.

Wrapped before it reaches you

Tissue, ribbon, a hand-tied tag. Gift-ready isn't an upsell here — it's just how they leave the shop.

Small enough to answer

A real person reads every message. Ask us anything before you buy; we like the questions.
